These blocks are great for sanding surfboards in wood or polyurethane foam blanks, and also EPS or polystyrene, and of course, balsa and paulownia.
These blocks have been developed over 30 years in the Surfboard Manufacturing Industry by Mark Riley and all the wood board builders around the world: the original & the best. Here you will find the full range of Blocks, Pads & associated sanding paper.
Double-sided velcro blocks give you the ability to have different grades of paper on your block to be able to flip it over for different densities, stringers or curves/ridges and bumps. These are nice and light with one side balsawood, and the other side can be a firm foam or a soft foam.
Specialty blocks for concaves, complex bottoms and curves.
Also can be used to sand builders' bog in houses or cars
The balsa wood's low weight makes it lighter and easier to sand without overworking your hand, wrist, elbow, and/or shoulder, but firm enough to take out your ridges and high points.
